BRECKNOCK YFC held their Annual Rally and Barn Dance last Saturday (June 2) at Maesgwyn Farm, Llandefalle, with the kind permission of Mr and Mrs P L Edwards and family and host club Llandefalle YFC.
The event was a very successful day with over 40 competitions and more than 500 members competing throughout the day. Here are some of the results:
The overall Stock Judging trophy went to Sennybridge YFC, Junior Shearing Dewi Jones Llandefalle, Intermediate Shearing Hugh Prothero Libanus, Senior Shearing Gwilym Williams Sennybridge, Hand Shearing George Gilbert Llandefalle, Wool Handling Aled Jones Troedrhiwdalar, promotional Sign Pontfaen, Farm Sign Gruff Price Troedrhiwdalar, Woodwork Ben Price & Ryan Mills Troerhiwdalar, Cookery Llandefalle, Floral Under 16 Holly Davies Llandefalle, Under 21 Sian Healey Pontfaen. Under 26 Rhianwen Jones Sennybridge, Fferm Factor Nick Jones & Tudor Roderick Libanus, Pallet Recycling Hywel Jones & Ryan Jones Erwood, Main ring display Pontfaen.
Congratulations go to Pontfaen YFC for winning nine competitions trophies, Winner of Winter competitions and overall Rally Day Winners.
On behalf of the federation, events manager Gwen Samuels thanked all of the judges, stewards, recorders, announcers and county officials for their hard work. She added: “Without your continued support to the federation the event would not be so successful.
