CHILDREN at Ysgol y Cribarth in Abercraf helped put their school on the map with their annual autumn tea party.

The afternoon, which was attended by Welsh Government education secretary Kirsty Williams and PCSO Dan Garnell, included an afternoon tea of homemade treats and various games which included “show me the way to Ysgol Y Cribarth”.

The tea was held on Friday, October 13 and headmaster Gwyn Williams took the opportunity to launch a new initiative ‘clwb cinio’ where the children are asking members of the community to go along and have lunch at the school. He said the aim of clwb cinio was to develop relationships between the young and elderly. The first lunch date is Thursday, October 26.
