A teenager was assaulted on Brecon’s canal bank by man in his twenties – who police are now hunting.

The 13-year-old child was assaulted in broad daylight on Saturday afternoon on the footpath that runs along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal close to the new houses at Eliot Place.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "The boy was 13-years-old, and he did not require medical assistance. He was alone when the assault took place."

Police said the attacker is described as a man in his twenties with short black hair.

He was wearing a striped top and possibly jeans.

The incident happened at around 2.15pm on Saturday, May 27 and police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has any information to contact Brecon Police Station on 101.
