The 2025 Royal Welsh Show kicks off this coming Monday, July 21, at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, promising four days packed with world-class entertainment alongside Wales’ finest agriculture.
Headlining the main ring attractions is the much-anticipated return of the Ukrainian Cossack Stunt Team. Known worldwide for their breathtaking horsemanship, the team will perform daily, showcasing daring feats such as flipping under galloping horses, forming six-person human pyramids on horseback, and executing somersaults mid-charge - all on the fearless Ukrainian Warmblood horses. This year’s performances hold special meaning, as several team members, led by founder Oleh Yurchyshyn, have been actively involved in defending Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
Other main ring highlights include Bolddog FMX, the UK’s premier motorcycle display team thrilling crowds with death-defying aerial stunts, and Meirion Owen with his sheepdogs, demonstrating expert dog-handling and traditional herding skills. The Royal Welsh Regimental Band and Corps of Drums will showcase stirring military music and precise marching, while the RAF College Band will perform on Tuesday only, impressing audiences with their distinctive drill and musical prowess. Tristar Carriage Driving offers a dynamic blend of horsemanship and artistic synchronized riding, and the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team will make pinpoint landings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Visitors can also enjoy demonstrations of cutting-edge military drone technology from the British Army Drone Sports Association on Monday and Wednesday, as well as the Heavy Horse Village, celebrating the strength and heritage of traditional working horses.
Additional main ring events include the Inter Hunt Team Relay, Mounted Games, Pony Club Mounted Games, and trotting, spread across the show’s four days.
Alongside the main ring shows, the event features livestock competitions, stalls, local food, and talks from expert speakers, offering something for everyone.
