ABBEYFIELD Brecon held their annual Strawberry Tea at Abbeyfield House, Camden Road, on Saturday, June 17 as part of the UK National Abbeyfield Week.
Residents and their relatives and friends welcomed the Mayor of Brecon, the Deputy Mayor and Kirsty Williams AM to their celebration which has been held practically every year since Abbeyfield was established here 20 years ago.
The president of Abbeyfield Brecon, trustees and volunteers ensured that the community spirit was strongly in evidence on the weekend of the ‘Great Get Together’, marking the first anniversary of the tragic death of Jo Cox MP in Yorkshire.
