PLANS for the proposed redevelopment of the site of a crumbling historic hospital are to go on show this weekend.
The Mid Wales Hospital in Talgarth has fallen into disrepair since its closure nearly 20 years ago but residents of the town can find out about plans to redevelop the 1903 built former asylum for housing this Saturday and Sunday, August 29 and 30th, at the Festival of the Black Mountains.
Herefordshire based developer Phil Collins will attend the festival in Talgarth to ’share, exchange and collect’ views on the site.
Mr Collins has previously had one bid to develop housing on the site rejected by the Brecon Beacons National Park Planning Committee but is now working with planners to draw up a ’development brief for the site’.
He said: "People are fed up with the buildings which are gradually crumbling and have been for almost 20 years."
