Brecon and Radnorshire is set to be hit by heavy wind and rain this Saturday ahead of the New Year bank holiday.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind for the entirety of Saturday afternoon and night.

This is on top of a yellow warning for rain for much of Saturday.

The forecaster's yellow wind warning runs from 11am tomorrow (Saturday) until 3am on Sunday morning.

The rain warning is in place between 10am and 6pm tomorrow.

A spell of strong and gusty wind is expected to move east across England and Wales. Heavy rain may lead to some flooding and transport disruption.

The weather is anticipated to bring disruption to travel and services.

Brecon, Crickhowell, Ystradgynlais and the entire Swansea Valley area, Llandovery, Llanwrtyd, Llandrindod and Builth are all included within the warning area.
