VARIOUS services and events have been held in towns across Brecon and Radnorshire to mark centenary of the outbreak of World War I. Towns and small villages held events both on Sunday, August 3 and on Monday, August 4 which marked 100 years to the day since Britain declared it was at war with Germany. The Radnorshire Museum in Llandrindod Wells has opened a month long exhibition marking the centenary, with much of the material donated by local residents whose families were involved in the war.
