IRFON Judo Club hosted the Powys Schools Judo Championships at Builth Wells Sports Centre on Sunday October 18.
11 primary schools and eight high schools took part at this year’s championships, with joint winners Builth Wells C P School and Arddleen C P School taking the shield for the primary school section and Llanfyllin High School winning the high school shield.
The young person who was awarded the cup for the ’Spirit of Judo’ was Sam Williams from Brecon.
The competition was a great success with some outstanding fighting. Many thanks to all the Coaches, Officials and parents who helped make the event such a great success.
