FORMER New Zealand flanker Xavier Rush was at Brecon on Saturday afternoon to see Christ College Christ College lose their annual fixture with Crawshay’s Welsh 19-18 writes Huw S Thomas.
As Crawshay’s guest coach for the day the eight times capped All Black and former Cardiff Blues skipper was full of praise for both teams – “excellent stuff played in great spirit and with plenty of skill”
An invariably open and entertaining game against the famous invitation side had an exciting finish when Christ College threw everything at the Crawshay’s defence but failed to get the crucial score.
