A BIKER who died in a crash on the A40 near Sennybridge was 62-years-old, police have said.

Dyfed-Powys Police attended the scene of a crash involving a motorbike and a car on the A40 between Sennybridge and Halfway on Saturday afternoon at 3.25pm.

The force has said the motorcyclist who died was a 62-year-old man and its thoughts are with his family.

The road was closed in both directions on Saturday evening and police advised people to avoid the area.

Police also attended a one vehicle crash on the A40, at Penpont between Brecon and Sennybridge, on Sunday involving a Vauxhall Corsa.
