A driver has died following a single-vehicle crash on the A483 near Newtown.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the collision happened at around 1:10pm on Sunday, October 25, on the A483 just south of Laura Ashley Roundabout, towards Dolfor.

The collision involved a grey Dacia Sandero and the driver died at the scene.

The driver's family are being supported by specialist officers.

Police said there was currently no evidence to suggest any other vehicles or people were involved.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone who was travelling along the road at the time with dashcam footage.
