A 56-year-old was arrested in Brecon on suspicion of fraud by false representation and impersonating a police constable on Monday, October 26.
The arrest came as part of an investigation into an allegation of courier fraud in the Brecon area on October 23.
Enquiries are ongoing to locate a second man police wish to speak with in connection with the alleged incident.
The neighbourhood policing team will be patrolling the Brecon, Glasbury and Hay areas and to offer advice for those concerned about fraud offences.
