Two men have been arrested after they were allegedly acting aggressively in Brecon Town Centre around lunchtime today.
A 27-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were travelling around the town with two dogs - one of them was suspected to be carrying a knife.
Eye witnesses reported that Co-Op supermarket in the town centre, based on Lion Street, closed as one of the men is reported to have been in the store.
It is understood that the man, who was accompanied by the two dogs, was allegedly being aggressive towards both customers and staff before the community banded together forcing the man to leave.
The two men were arrested elsewhere in the town after leaving the store - Co-Op closed in case the man came back before being apprehended.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of two men alleged to be acting aggressively in Brecon town centre at approximately 1.20pm on Friday, 3rd December.
"The men were reported to be travelling with two dogs, with one of the men suspected to be in possession of a knife.
“Officers swiftly attended and a 27-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were arrested. “They remain in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing.”
