Three ornamental samurai swords have been stolen in Newtown prompting a police investigation.

Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating the Llys Afallen burglary which is thought to have happened between 3pm on Tuesday, February 1 and 9am on Thursday, February, 3 2022.

The ornamental Japanese-style swords were taken from the property along with a stand.

The samurai swords are described as being predominantly red, black and brown, with distinctive snake skin and lace wrapped handles.
