POLICE are appealing warning people to ensure their tools are safe after a spate of thefts from vehicles.

DYFED-Powys Police have said they have received numerous reports of theft of power tools from the Radnor area.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "The latest offences have occurred in the Knighton area, overnight between November 3 and 4.

"This is a national issue and Dyfed-Powys Police is working with other police forces and partners, with efforts focused on investigating incidents and deploying patrols to deter further occurrences.

"Police would like to advise people to remove tools and valuable items from their vehicles overnight, to prevent them becoming a victim of theft. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111."
