The search for a second missing woman in the Ystradfellte Falls area has ended.

Last week the body of a woman was found in the river in the Ystradfellte Falls area. It was reported that two people were seen in the river and a large scale search was taking place to find them.

The fire service, mountain rescue and National Police Air Support were all involved in the search. On Thursday 5 January, Dyfed-Powys Police released a statement that said: "Sadly, we can confirm the body of a woman was recovered from the river this morning.

"Support is being offered to both families at this tragic time.

"Efforts are ongoing to locate a second woman, who is also believed to be in the river."

Today, Dyfed-Powys Police have said that the search for the second missing person is currently not taking place. A spokesperson said: "The search is not ongoing."

They are working on an update to provide more information on the situation.
