A man has died after his car left the road and went down an embankment near Llanbister.
Police are investigating the fatal crash which saw the driver, who was also the only occupant of the Seat car, leave the A483 between Llananno and Llanbister at 11.50pm yesterday.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: “Dyfed-Powys Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision.
“Officers received a report of a Seat leaving the road and going down an embankment at around 11.50pm on Thursday, July 11 on the A483 near Llanbister.
“The male driver and sole occupant of the car has sadly died. Fire and ambulance also attended.”
The road was closed following the accident but re-opened at around 7am today.
