LARGE crowds turned out to watch the parade at Newbridge on Wye’s carnival on Saturday.
Floats and fancy dress entries were judged at the football ground by Alec and Joan Murray accompanied by Jo and Betty Prosser.
This year’s Newbridge on Wye carnival queen Ellie Voigt was crowned by retiring queen Caitlin Wallace. Her attendants were Amy and Poppy Hudson. The grand parade then toured the village. After which it returned to the football ground where there was plenty of entertainment and fun for all.
Joint winners for best float were ‘Family Mix’, which portrayed Toy Story and the Golden Lion darts team’s ‘Wild West’ entry.
