A WOMAN has died following a crash involving her Volkswagen Lupo car and a lorry.
The collision happened at around 7.50pm on Wednesday, March 29 on the A481 at Llanelwedd.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Involved in the collision were a blue coloured Lupo and a lorry.
"Sadly the female driver of the Lupo died. Next of kin have been advised.
"The driver of the lorry was uninjured."The Welsh Ambulance Service said it sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene.The road, between Builth Wells and Hundred House, was closed until the early hours of Thursday morning.Fire crews from Builth and Llandrindod Wells attended and used hydraulic cutting equipment.
No further details have been released at this stage.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them on 101.
