AN ambulance crew had to treat a teenage girl who was injured after falling from her horse while taking part in a Pony Club event at the Royal Welsh Show.
Hundreds of spectators saw the girl, who was competing in the 14 and under Pony Club Mounted Games event, fall from her horse in the cattle ring on Wednesday afternoon.
On Tuesday an ambulance had to attend in the main ring when a rider fell from their horse in a hunter relay race.
First aiders immediately rushed to the aid of the girl who fell on Wednesday afternoon, at around 3.30pm, with proceedings in the cattle ring stopped.
Some onlookers said they felt an ambulance had taken a long time to arrive but others thought the response had been in good time.
One woman, who didn’t want to be named, said: "She just fell as her horse was going around the ring. The horse leaned forward and she was on the floor for ages.
"I was worried as it’s not nice to see someone fall."
The woman said the ambulance crew had been treating the girl for around 10 minutes on the floor before they stretchered her into the back of the vehicle.
It is unclear the extent of her injuries.
