A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit-and-run in which an 11-year-old girl sustained serious injuries.
The girl was airlifted to hospital following the incident on the A488, Ffrydd Road in Knighton, near to the town's hospital, at around 4pm on Thursday, September 14.Dyfed-Powys Police said it has arrested a 57-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.The man is currently in custody and a vehicle has been seized.Dyfed-Powys Police said the girl remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.Police said they are continuing to investigate the collision involving a Toyota Rav 4 and a pedestrian.Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police on 101.
