BRIGHTWELLS is delighted to welcome Matthew Williams, who has joined the firm as a Rural Surveyor and Auctioneer in their Mid-Wales Professional Services and Livestock Markets team.

Matthew is a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor (RICS) and has recently qualified as a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV), having previously graduated from Harper Adams in Rural Enterprise and Land Management.

“I am delighted to be joining Brightwells’ busy team. I am very much looking forward to the challenges ahead, to meeting and assisting both Brightwells’ existing and new clients.”

Matthew is already well known in Mid-Wales and the borders, having worked in the area for a large firm of agricultural valuers and auctioneers for the last four years and receiving a nomination for the prestigious ‘Young Rural Surveyor award’ from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2017.

He brings with him a wealth of experience on all aspects of Rural Professional work and will provide a comprehensive range of services to farmers and the wider rural community.

Matthew already specialises in the valuation of rural property, land compensation and the sale and letting of agricultural land, which are the main requirements of the farming and land-owning community in the area.

He also has significant experience with large scale renewable energy developments, Basic Payment Scheme Glastir and Rural Development Grants.

With agricultural businesses’ continued interest in securing funding for investment and diversification, Matthew will work alongside Brightwells Director and Chairman Irving Parry undertaking work on behalf of the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation and bank valuations.

In addition, Matthew is an experienced auctioneer and will be involved in the Mid-Wales Markets and the Royal Welsh Showground Autumn sales, where Brightwells hold livestock auctions of fat, store and specialist breeds.

“I am thrilled that Matthew is joining our team.

“He will bring additional strength and provide Brightwells with skills required to grow the services we can provide to the agricultural community in the area,” said Irving Parry.
