A DISUSED Breconshire telephone box is set to transform into what is thought to be the smallest art gallery in Wales.

Adele Nozedar, of nearby Torpantau, Talybont-on-Usk, has been given permission to use Llanfrynach's telephone box as an art space for the next six months after the village's community council adopted the kiosk from BT.

The 3ft x 3ft x 8ft 4 inch K6 telephone booth will play host to an array of different artistic concepts and ventures over the coming months.

The telephone box, situated near Victoria Close, will officially be opened on Friday, August 5 with an apt communication-themed exhibition titled Blah Blah by Baaah!'s Karin Mear and Nigel Evans.
