A BAND have vowed to keep on gigging after thieves made off with some of their hard-earned equipment, worth more than £2,000.

Builth Wells based act The Deadly, made up of guitarists Joel Metcalf and Kevin Herbert, bassist Dan 'Stigg' Graham and drummer Aled Williams, were shocked when they showed up for practice on the evening of Tuesday, September 3, and found there had been a break in.

A complete PA system, including the mixing desk and power amp, a box full of microphones, a bass amp, lights and a smoke machine, with the bottles of smoke fluid, were taken in what police called a 'selective search.'

Dan Graham said: "We're really lucky they haven't taken everything because if they had, we might as well have just quit."

A spokeswoman for Dyfed Powys Police said they are investigating the burglary, which took place on the Royal Welsh Showground between Tuesday, August 27, and Tuesday, September 3.

Anyone with information can contact PC Chris Hickey at Llandrindod Wells Police Station on 101.
