BBC Cymru Wales’ inflatable bucket hat will visit Builth Wells as part of a national tour of towns and cities across Wales during the FIFA World Cup.
The giant hat will drop into the Royal Welsh Winter Fair at Llanelwedd this coming Monday, November 28.
It offers fans the opportunity to take selfies with the hat and post their support for the Cymru team, who are taking part in their first appearance at the World Cup in 64 years.
The inflatable bucket hat tour is in association with the Football Association of Wales’ Gwl Cymru, a creative event bringing communities together as the football team takes to the field in Qatar.
Gareth Davies, head of BBC Wales marketing and audiences said: “With the Wales football team taking their place on the global stage for the first time in 64 years, BBC Cymru Wales is going to be there every step of the way, in Qatar and here in Wales.
“We’re proud to be capturing the mood up and down the country with our programming and services reflecting the excitement and anticipation. The bucket hat will be a brilliant backdrop to our output.
“This is a brilliant opportunity for fans to join us, particularly if they are unable to visit the fantastic fibreglass FAW bucket hats.”
Fans are encouraged to wear their own Wales bucket hats when visiting. The Bucket Hat Tour comes as part of a host of content and activities across BBC Cymru Wales platforms as Wales take part in the World Cup.
