A HIGH school identified as one of the best in Wales is funded by more than £1,000 less than another Powys school ranked among the worst in Wales - John Beddoes School in Presteigne.

Alan Peggrem, chair of governors at Crickhowell High School has warned the school, which was named as among the best performing schools in Wales, could have to make redundancies to cover its funding shortfall.
