A blood donation session will take place at Brecon Leisure Centre on Friday, June 27, with morning and afternoon appointments available.

The Welsh Blood Service is encouraging donors from all backgrounds to come forward, as hospitals in Wales require around 350 donations each day to treat patients in need. Just one donation can help up to three people, as blood is separated into components used in different ways to support recovery.

Giving blood is safe, straightforward, and takes around an hour from arrival to departure. The donation itself takes just five to ten minutes.

Most healthy adults aged 17 to 66 can donate, provided they meet the basic eligibility criteria.
