The police announced yesterday afternoon that they found a body while searching for a missing pensioner from Barry who was last seen in the Brecon Beacons.

Maldwyn Miles, 67, was last seen near the Brecon Mountain Railway at Pant on Thursday, February 22 around 2.30pm after travelling to Merthyr Tydfil by bus the previous day.
A spokesperson from South Wales Police said that the body, which has yet to be officially identified, was found on the mountainside above Merthyr Tydfil.
His daughter, Rebecca, put out a plea for her father to let the family know he was safe last week following the severe weather.
The police spokesperson said: "Although it still needs to be officially identified, the family of Maldwyn Miles has been informed.
"Thank you for all your help with our appeals."
