BRECON and Radnorshire MP Chris Davies voted for UK air strikes in Syria in a tense House of Commons vote.
The government motion, which Conservative Mr Davies voted for, won the backing of 397 MPs with 223 voting against air strikes targeting the self styled Islamic State.
Mr Davies said he had voted with a "heavy heart". He said: "It is never an easy decision to send our brave troops into combat but I do believe that we must act, and now is the time to do so."
All 11 Welsh Conservative MPs voted for air strikes while four Welsh MPs were among the 66 Labour MPs who voted for military action.
Plaid Cymru’s three MPs and the country’s only Liberal Democrat MP also voted against military action as did 20 of the 25 Welsh Labour MPs. One Labour MP from Wales was reported absent due to illness.
