ARTBEAT Brecon stages the second Brecon Arts Festival from Saturday, October 22 - Sunday, October 30, involving many venues throughout Brecon town centre.

Festival co-ordinator Julia Blazer told The Brecon & Radnor Express: "I believe there's a wave of enthusiasm this year to firm up the bones of what could be an annual event to rival the Jazz Festival in Brecon's visitor calendar.

"For Brecon Arts Festival there will be many events, demonstrations and workshops throughout the town centre, throughout the whole week. The Brecon Arts Festival includes open studios, installations and inventive happenings - one project involves teaming up artists with local traders to create unique shop windows and displays. Come and join in the fun!

"There are loads of free activities for kids."

Already confirmed to take part are artists Veronica Gibson, Su Hilley-Harris and Roy Powell.
