Christmas is just around the corner and once again Brecon Town Council is getting into the festive spirit with events planned to warm any winter blues.

The Town Council is hosting a hybrid event for ‘Brecon with Bells On’ which will consist of a Christmas Fayre in the Guildhall, a Santa’s Grotto in the Market Hall Vaults, which is free of charge, and a virtual switch-on of the Christmas Lights on Facebook - all of which will be happening on Saturday, November 20. The ‘Dinky Donkeys’ will also be visiting Santa’s Grotto.

To enjoy the virtual switching on of the lights, pour yourself a cup of cocoa, kick back and log onto the Brecon Town Council Facebook page at 6pm on November 20 to see the town lit up in all its glory.

As well the lights switch-on and Fayre, the Town Council is once again running a Christmas Window competition, in collaboration with Brecon Chamber of Trade and Tourism, and Brecon Buzz.

This year’s theme is ‘Pantomime’ so feel free to get as creative as possible in dressing your window up with festive decoration.

After an extremely successful competition last year, the Town Council is looking forward to seeing this year’s entries with a panto theme.

If you would like your window to be considered please have your window dressed/ready by 12 noon on Wednesday, November 17.

The Town Council will be announcing the winners online on November 20 2020.
