TRADERS in Brecon who established a Christmas 'pop-up shop' have hailed the venture a success.

The temporary shop opened in a disused building at the George Hotel from Saturday, December 1 to Christmas Eve showcasing wares by local independent shops and craft producers and artists.

Julia Blazer, one of the artists working at the shop, said: "It has provided a tremendous opportunity to both promote the creative talent in the area and encourage more people to visit a beautiful building that was brought back to life over the Christmas period."
