A BRECON musician is hoping to help his band secure a £10,000 prize in the first ever Band Cymru 2014 competition which is currently unfolding on S4C. Bob Moeller, of Camden Crescent, Brecon, is a member of Capital City Jazz Orchestra (CCJO) which has reached the grand final to be screened at 9pm on S4C on Saturday, May 24. Trumpeter Bob, who is also a member of Brecon Town Band, said: "I have been with CCJO since its inception around eight years ago. Cardiff didn't have a big band so we formed one, and the band is made up of similarly minded musicians that enjoy playing some of the more difficult arrangements out there."
