A 38-year-old Brecon woman has been ordered to pay £499 in fines, costs and compensation after pleading guilty to assaulting two police officers and being in possession of a kitchen knife in the car park of Brecon’s Aldi supermarket.

Hazel Oliver of Free Street, Brecon was also ordered by magistrates at Merthyr to carry out community service following the incident in Brecon on June 29.

A restraining order preventing her making any contact with Christopher Lawrence was also imposed and will last until February 18, 2024.
