AMBULANCES based in Breconshire have been sent to answer urgent 999 calls up to 80 miles away.
The startling figures that show vehicles based in Brecon, Builth Wells, Crickhowell and Ystradgynlais are answering life saving calls as far away as Cardiff, the Mumbles and even Llanfyllin in Motgomeryshire, were released to Brecon and Radnorshire AM Kirsty Williams.
The Welsh Liberal Democrat leader used the Freedom of Information Act to discover where Breconshire ambulances were being dispatched to after paramedics raised concerns.
