A BRECON Beacons church congregation is celebrating the completion of two restoration projects. Llansantffraed Parochial Church Council has restored the damp and rotting wood block floor at the village church. The Brecknock Society & Museum Friends has restored and improved access to the grave of internationally renowned Brecknockshire poet Henry Vaughan who was buried in the churchyard, near Talybont-on-Usk, in 1695. The projects had a combined total cost of £56,000 and were supported by public fundraising, a Heritage Lottery Grant, the Brecon Beacons Trust and local businesses.
