FREE parking is being offered in Builth Wells as major road works are carried out in the town until November. Dwr Cymru Welsh Water is replacing water pipes in the town, with the current works taking place between the start of Broad Street and the junction of Strand Street. During the period the company is providing up to two hours free parking for shoppers at the Groe car park as well as facilitating deliveries for business. Road closures will also be in place when the third phase of the work starts in November. The initial phase of the £500,000 project was completed in June. Builth Wells county councillor Avril York said: "We are pleased with their agreement to fund two hours free car parking on the Groe and ask everyone to continue to support their local businesses."
