BUSINESSES in and around Crickhowell are set to receive a boost with the start of the Green Man Festival which runs from August 14-17, writes Nancy CavillI.

The festival will see 20,000 people on the Glanusk Estate site each day from Thursday through to Sunday – total footfall during the festival is expected to reach 89,000.

Bands including Mercury Rev, The Waterboys and Beirut will be joined by comedians, DJs, actors from National Theatre Wales and circus artists from NoFit State Circus for the sell-out indie-folk festival.
