A horse riding store is gearing up to open its new shop near Hay-on-Wye this afternoon.

Saddle Up and Ride will be hosting its grand opening today - Sunday, December 5 - from 12.30pm until 3.30pm.

The tack shop has recently expanded due to the success of the business since it started in November last year.

A spokesperson from the store said: “We are having a grand opening to celebrate as well as to showcase all the new brands that are now in stock at the stylish new store.

“There will be complementary fizz and delicious barista coffee on offer, alongside a warm greeting from our friendly and knowledgeable team who will be on hand to talk you through the ranges and help with any questions you may have about our top quality equipment.”

The shop now stocks a wide selection of hats including Charles Owen, Champion, John Whitaker, Uvex and Casco.

Clothing brands including Noble Outfitters, Aubrion, Shires, Cameo and Mountain Horse will also be in stock along with the “ever popular” Pampeano belts with matching design dog collars and leads.

Managing director, Matt Williams said: “We have spent the last year hand picking the very best products from tried and trusted brands to create a unique collection of outdoor and equestrian gear to build on the solid offering we already provided.

“I am really excited to see where the next year takes us, the success of the store just keeps growing - including the online arm of the business.  We are very proud of what we have achieved.

“There will also be 10% off everything for the grand opening day so why not come along and take a look around our store whilst enjoying a hot coffee or glass of champagne and chat all things horses and outdoors with our team and fellow customers!”

The shop is located at The Coach House, Clyro Court (postcode HR3 5DU) and can be found just off the A483 near Clyro.
