Brecon Mountain Railway is inviting local accommodation providers and tourist attraction operators to a special tourism open morning on Tuesday, March 17 from 10am to 12:30pm.
Held in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog, the event is designed to strengthen partnerships within the regional tourism sector and showcase the unique experiences the heritage railway offers to visitors staying in this part of Wales.
The morning will begin at Pant, near Merthyr Tydfil and will include refreshments, presentations from railway staff and a scenic return train journey through the National Park to Torpantau.
Attendees will experience the railway just as their guests would — travelling through spectacular landscapes while learning more about the history, heritage and visitor opportunities the attraction provides.
The event is being organised by the railway’s team, including community tourism ambassador, Dafydd Wyn Morgan, who emphasised the importance of collaboration within the local visitor economy.
“We’re looking forward to seeing accommodation and tourist attraction owners board the train and enjoying the scenic journey, just like their guests would,” said Dafydd. “A visit to Brecon Mountain Railway is a must for anyone visiting and staying in this part of Wales.”
The open morning aims to give tourism businesses greater insight into how the railway can enhance visitor itineraries, encourage longer stays and contribute to a joined-up approach to promoting the region as a premier destination.
Accommodation providers and tourist attraction owners interested in attending are encouraged to book their place by emailing [email protected]
