HAY Camera Club has won a photo competition with three of its members securing first, second and third places. The three-way competition held recently involved Builth Wells and Borders Camera club together with Hay.

Sixty prints were judged by Haydn Pugh who commented on the overall high standard of entries from all three clubs. Peter Seaman acting chairman of Hay Camera Club said “This is an annual event and we are chuffed to have won. We are most grateful to our camera colleagues in the Builth and Borders clubs for joining with us to make it a very enjoyable evening. Haydn was a good and fair judge”

Hay Camera Club has recently completed an exhibition at the Richard Booth’s Bookshop in Hay-on-Wye during and this has now moved to St Peter’s Church in Peterchurch, Herefordshire.

Hay Camera Club meets most Tuesdays evenings throughout the year when the events include talks, learning events, practical sessions, competitions with other clubs including one in New Zealand. The club also organises photography trips which recently have included rallycross, an old mill, waterfalls and a re-enactment event.
