THE sun came out to make sure New Radnor Carnival was a great success. The event started with a procession twice around the village of floats and fancy dress pedestrians led by the Radnor Valley Band.

Carnival Queen Chloe Evans and her king Owen Bradford and princesses Millie Langford and Ruth Hammond were chauffeur driven around town in a 1925 Bentley driven by Roger Collins.

When the floats returned to the school judging took place to choose the best float and individuals wearing fancy dress.

After this everyone went on to the school field for an afternoon filled with fun and games including a football challenge, races and a scarecrow competition. There was also live music, refreshments and craft stalls.
