A fund for community organisations and projects has been opened by Rhayader Town Council.

Application for grants from the Bryntitli Fund are open until later this month.

“Anything that benefits the community will be considered,” said Cllr David Davies, Mayor of Rhayader.

“A short application form needs to be completed and emailed back or handed to a councillor or the town clerk.”

Application forms and more information can be downloads from the Rhayader Town Council, www.rhayader.gov.wales or ask for one from a town councillor.

The closing date for applications is midnight on November 22 2022.

The town council will meet after this date to go through the applications and assess each one to decide which organisations they can offer grant funding to at this time.

“Our aim is to contact the successful applicants before Christmas and have funds issued by the end of the year,” added Cllr Davies.

“This is a small community fund with limited funds and resources. We might not be able to help every organisation that applies - even if the project is eligible - but we hope to make a real difference to those that we do.”
