RESIDENTS in Llangattock have hit the eco-jackpot after being named Britain's greenest community.

Locals are celebrating following the news that Llangattock Green Valleys has won the British Gas Green Streets Challenge - scooping a £100,000 kitty to spend on local environmental projects.

Llangattock beat almost 100 other communities from around the UK to win the grand prize at a ceremony last Friday, July 1.
