A BODY that represents charity shops has warned some could close if the Welsh Government accepts a proposal to cut rate relief offered to them.

A report has recommended the Welsh Government should slash business rate relief offered to charity shops from 80 per cent to just 50 per cent and also tighten qualifying rules.

The Welsh Air Ambulance, which operates shops in Brecon and Rhayader, warned it could have to review their future if support was cut.
