A band from Llandrindod Wells has held a fundraising concert to raise money for a local cancer support charity.
Rock band ’Out of Order’ held the concert on December 18 last year and raised an incredible £2,130 for the Bracken Trust.
The concert, held in the Royal British Club, was in memory of Sam Morgan, of Llandrindod Wells, who sadly passed away last year.
The Bracken Trust provides qualified during support and advice to cancer patients, their families and carers as well as bereaved relatives. It also offers counselling, a range of complementary body therapies and other social activities which encourage people to manage their condition and maintain a good quality of life. All of these services are provided free of charge.
The Trust does not receive any statutory funding and therefore relies entirely on grant funding, legacies, donations and local fundraising to continue to give people affected by cancer the local help and support they need.
Ann Williams, Chief Executive of Bracken Trust, on behalf of patients, staff and trustees, expressed her sincere thanks to all band members, helpers and those who attended the concert for their support.
