THE Conservatives have recaptured the Brecon and Radnorshire seat they lost the Liberal Democrats just four months ago at a by-election.
Fay Jones gained 21,958 votes to overturn a 1,425 majority that Jane Dodds had won she won the seat in August.
The Conservatives now have 7,131 majority with the result caping what is turning out to be a remarkable night for the Conservatives with the party on course for a majority with big gains in Wales.
The Conservatives also held the Montgomeryshire seat.
