THE future of a disused Army camp in the Brecon Beacons National Park is unclear after a plan to develop 200 homes was rejected at a planning appeal.

Crickhowell Estates, which hoped to develop the homes at the Cwrt y Gollen camp, had appealed to the Welsh Government after the National Park's planning committee refused its bid for outline planning permission in June last year.

Park officers had recommended the scheme - developed in line with an approved brief that also included a nursing home, pre-school childcare and industrial units - be given the go-ahead.
