A MEMBER of Brecon Beacons National Park Authority says the body has 'taken a huge step backwards' following a decision not to allow the public to record its meetings.

Richard Stow had put forward a motion to clarify that the the park authority's meetings could be recorded at the discretion of the chairman providing the filming didn't interrupt proceedings.

However, at a meeting on Friday, September 30, all but two members voted to remove this discretion and prohibit any recording of their meetings.
